Landing in 12th century England, Clara and the Doctor meet Robin Hood, the actual chivalrous thief who the Doctor is convinced is just a myth. Soon after, they encounter the real Sheriff of Nottingham, who leads a group of knights — robot knights.

Living up to his reputation, the sheriff plans to use his robots to rebuild a crashed spaceship and then take over the world. But the Doctor realizes that the repairs will actually make the ship explode, destroying half of England in the process.
