Episode 909: Sleep No More

What follows is the account of final days of the Le Verrier station orbiting Neptune as told by Station Archival Footage, Military Helmet Cameras, and Gagan Rassmussen. Gagan addresses viewers directly by use of various cameras ending with the message, “You Have Been Warned.”

BEGIN PLAYBACK – Gagan Rassmussen (Age – Unknown, Scientist, Presumed Dead) tells the viewer that they are in danger (Cause Unknown) but this video can provide answers. On a deserted space station (I.D. Le Verrier Station in orbit around Neptune, Sol system), a military team – Nagata (Age 30, Officer 2nd Class, Commanding – Deceased), Chopra (Age 28, Conscript – Deceased), Deep-Ando (Age 40, Conscript 2nd Class – Deceased), 474 (Age 5, Grunt – Deceased) – are searching the station and encounter The Doctor (Age – Unknown, Gallifrean Time Lord, Status – Unknown) and Clara Oswald (Age 27 {relatively} – 21st Century origin, Rank – Unknown, Status – Unknown). They are being hunted by Sleep Men (Age – Unknown, Rank – Unknown, Status – Unknown) who have grown from sleep dust and kill other entities to reproduce. The remaining sentients aggressively attempt to escape the station and death… Static… – PLAYBACK ENDS.

Episode 908: The Zygon Inversion

A decision has to be made that could destroy all Humans and Zygons. It’s time for The Doctor to teach everyone a much needed lesson.

The war has started and splinter group Zygons are murdering people in London. Clara has been captured and the Zygon leader, Bonnie, has stolen her form. She posts a video of a Zygon’s transformation causing panic and paranoia to spread around the world.

The fate of the planet comes down to a handful of people in a room. A room with two boxes and a choice. The result will be either Truth or Consequences. Desperate to stop Kate and Bonnie from making the wrong decision, The Doctor tries to explain how and why everything can be saved. But will his words get through to both Human and Zygon?

Episode 907: The Zygon Invasion

Remember the Zygons that the Doctor left trying to invade earth during the reign of Elizabeth the First? They’re still around.

The Doctor, UNIT, and Osgood have devised a way for the Zygons to co-exist with humans on Earth.  But the entire peace treaty rests on keeping the balance of all parties involved. And that fragile peace seems to be on the brink of falling apart. When Osgood was killed by Missy, her twin disappeared causing anxiety within UNIT and the Zygons living on Earth.  

Soon, different factions of Zygons reveal themselves and declare war. They want to live outside the shadows and be themselves. And they’ll do anything to get it. Now, The Doctor races to find out what their plans are.

Episode 906: The Woman Who Lived

The Doctor runs into a very old friend.  Enemy?  Frenemy?

In the 17th Century, the Doctor crosses paths with a highwayman.  It’s Ashildr, who the Doctor made immortal 800 years earlier.  During that time, she has suffered so many loses that she has changed her name to Me to reflect her loneliness.

She wants to travel with the Doctor but when he says no, she falls back on her secondary plan.  One involving a lion-like alien and traveling through space portals that carry a terrible price.  The Doctor likes this plan even less.

Episode 905: The Girl Who Died

The Doctor and Clara have to teach Vikings how to fight.  And it’s not going well.

Join us as we discuss Episode 905: The Girl Who Died

Captured by Vikings, The Doctor claims he is Odin, King of the Gods.  This works until Odin actually appears in the sky and sends alien warriors to the surface who immediately start shooting.  They kidnap Clara and Ashildr, a girl from the village, and return to their spacecraft.  Before Clara can stop her, Ashildr declares war on Odin, who gives them 24 hours to prepare.

The Doctor knows the remaining villagers are no match for the aliens but after some convincing from Clara, he goes into action.  As the clock marches towards the deadline, villagers try to become fighters, and The Doctor comes to believe that Ashildr may be the key to victory.

Classic Who: Evil of the Daleks

The Daleks have a plan to integrate the “Human Factor” into their genetic code. Well, that can’t be good.

Having lost the Tardis, The Doctor and Jamie find themselves in 1866, where the Daleks force The Doctor to help them isolate the Human Factor. The Daleks believe humanizing themselves will make them even better killing machines.

The Doctor appears to think this is a good idea, to the dismay of Jamie. Soon, they find themselves on Skarro and in a confrontation with the Dalek Emperor itself! And welcome aboard the Tardis Victoria!

Episode 904: Before The Flood

The Doctor is dead but it’s okay.  His ghost just keeps on talking.

Join us as we discuss episode 90: Before The Flood

The ghost of the Doctor is reciting the names of everyone both living and dead.   After Clara tells this to the Doctor in 1980, he is very upset to know his future.  He soon realizes that his ghost is listing the names in the order that they died, with Clara and rest of the crew’s names getting their turn.  No one knows what this means but it cannot be good.

As Clara and the crew process the fact that the Doctor is a ghost, back in 1980, the Doctor, O’Donnell and Bennett search the Scottish town before it’s flooded.  As they race to follow the events that led (leads) to disaster, The Doctor discovers there are larger issues going on than ghosts and death.
